The Awful Green Things from Outer Space...
This a cute game about a heroic crew fighting off and infestation of awful green things. The things lay eggs which grow to babies which grow to adults which lay eggs. The crew can fist fight or grab weapons to see what effect they might have. Destroy, stun, shrink, grow, etc. Or blast them to fragments which grow to babies which grow to adults...
This is an awesome game, designed by Tom Wham. Because of my fondness of the game I set out to upgrade my current printed copy.
If you don't have a copy of the game, go buy one! And then you can expand on it with the files you'll find below. You'll at least need the board from your copy.

So a bit of modeling, 3D printing, and painting and the characters and weapons came a bit more to life. The board that came with the game can get a bit crowded so scanned it in pieces, digitally put those pieces back together and enlarged it. Next came printing it in 4 sections, each section being 11" by 17" [tabloid] size. That easy at office supply stores with larger printers. The 4 sheets were then laminated to heavy cardboard stock. Spray glue, Modge Podge both work well. More Modge Podge on top and a final clear spray gave it a nice textured surface. Made some clips to hold the boards together at the 4 outside joints.
All the info for each piece is on its base, just like it is on the cardboard chits. The name is embossed in the back. Squares [shown white here] are the number of attack dice. Triangles [shown blue here] are the movement allowances. Hit points [shown pink here] are embossed as a number in front.
Awful Green Things... STLs
I'm rounding up the STLs for the figures here. Because this is a free site, there are limits to upload sizes, precluding large zip files, and forcing me to laboriously set up and enter each file one at a time. So... it's a work in progress to get everything organized and posted.

Jet Suits. They are similar in size to the crew. Making them large enough to fit the crew would quickly overcrowd the board. So when a crew member "gets in" a suit, place the crew member's figure in the Jet Suit Rack to show which suit that member is in.

On and off I've been working on a larger set to fit the 2.5 x 4 foot map I had printed out. Along the way I've been experimenting with better weapon and chit racks, cargo movers the crew can fit in and adapters to link a crew member and their weapon together.
